US Blocks UN Briefing on Atrocities in Sudan

Last time I checked, a diplomat's job is to talk, to inform, to brief, to discuss, to deliberate, to negotiate, to conduct diplomacy. One anonymous quote tells it all: "'He's playing into the hands of people who don't want to do anything,' said one council diplomat, who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to irritate Washington."
