Apparently, Bush will propose to cut Americans' social security benefits by a third, by changing the formula used to calculate benefits, indexing not on wage growth (as is currently done) but by inflation, the Washington Post reports. You see the strategy here. They will force us into choosing the risky stock investment schemes, just to make up the difference in the loss of benefits. Plain folk unwilling to spin the Wall Street roulette wheel will in effect be robbed, so as to line the wallets of stock brokers and speculators. Well, America, you voted him in there.... :-(
